Mattapoisett will be subject to Annual Water Main Flushing Events starting on May 13th

• Flushing began on 5/13/2024 at 7:30 p.m. and went until 3:00 a.m. in the Acushnet Rd. and North St. / Crystal Spring Rd. areas.

• Night flushing will also be conducted on 5/20/2024 from 7:30 pm to 3:00am in the Center of Town along with the Acushnet Rd /Park St/Mendell Rd. areas.

• Daily flushing will be conducted the entire time between 5/13/24--- 5/24/24, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  (Signage will be placed on the roads that are being flushed daily) some Hydrants may continue to run into the evenings to address any discolored water concerns.

• During this period of time, Please check your water before using if you find any discoloration, try running your cold water tap for a couple of minutes to flush out your service, as always please contact us for any questions or concerns.

• Discolored or red water may be expected along with periods of low water pressure in some areas.
•  Locations most likely to be affected are those south of Route 6 extending from Main Street. Other areas may be affected due to system hydraulics please contact our office if you have any questions or concerns. Chlorine may be injected into the system when flushing begins and will continue until flushing is completed.
