Dogs 6 months and older must be licensed and have a current rabies vaccination. Bring the vaccination certificate along with a spaying/neutering certificate if applicable to the office. Licenses are due and payable before April 1st each year. There are fines and court processes for non compliance. Forms to order a license are attached to the census forms mailed by the town in January or you may come into the office at any time with the necessary certificates and license your pet. If you had a dog the previous year but now no longer do, please notify the office. As of January 1, 2019 license fees are still $9 for a spayed/neutered dog and $12 for a male/female dog. If the pet owner is 70 years or older the license is free, but a current rabies certificate must be on file.
