Firefighters use a wide variety of tools, Shown below is Engine 4 and the majority of tools it carries and what they are used for.
Shown above is the drivers side compartments. A wide variety of hand tools such as, bolt cutters, brush rakes, axe's and halligan bars and stored along with rescue search rope, chainshaw, a rescue roof ventilation saw, tool box, supply hose, 2 extra air bottles, a hydrant bag and many types of hose connections.
Pictured above is the officers side of Engine 4. On this side of the truck carries a 24 and 14 foot ground ladder along with a smoke ejector, extension cords, shovels and brooms, water fire extinguishers, chemical fire extinguisher and a small portable set of jaws of life along with extra air bottles.
The rear of Engine 4 carries the majority of the hose, along with a technical rescue shaw used to cut metal, speedy dry, extra air bottles, cribbing and traffic cones.
