Reflective House Numbers
Address numbers are one of the most important things you can do to help us find you. Posting your correct property number helps Fire, Police and EMS responders find the correct address.
Your number should be visible from the street accessing your property and should be in clear view on the home and/or a durable sign post.
Mailboxes are not recommended as they are often on the wrong side of the street and may be damaged by vehicles or plows.
Your number should be a contrasting color to the background it is on.
The Mattapoisett Firefighter's Rescue Association is sponsoring a “Reflective House Number” program that offers town residents reflective house numbers produced on a durable reflective steel plate, and installed by your local Firefighters. The cost is $20 installed and can be ordered daily by stopping by the Fire Department.
