Annual Center School Lunch Third Grade Luncheon
On Wednesday, May 21st at 1pm, the third graders of the Center School will again host a luncheon for community seniors. Those interested should RSVP with the COA before May 14th. Van transportation available.

Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty
The Mattapoisett COA is currently looking for individuals of any age interested in joining our trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008. The trip will be faciliatated through DATTCO tours and will include pick-up at the Mattapoisett park and ride early morning, trip to Battery Park, NYC, ferry to Ellis Island, admission to museum and tours as well as a full dinner in Little Italy. Fenway Park, Boston
An exciting trip! The COA will be touring Fenway Park on Thursday, May 29th. This behind-the-scenes look includes the Press Box, State Street Pavilion Box, Red Sox Hall of Fame Plaques and the oldest seats in Major League History. Senior admission is $11. We’ll then head to the famous Cask n’ Flagon right across the street for lunch (lunch prices range $6-$15). Van donation $10.

Quilts from the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum
On Thursday, August 7th we will travel to Duxbury, MA for lunch at the Milepost Tavern followed by a visit to the Quilt Exhibit at the Art Complex Museum. Admission to the museum is free, lunch plates range in price from $5-$15. Van donation: $10.

Whale Watch in Plymouth
Join us on a whale watching expedition on Thursday, August 21st. The trip involves being out at sea from 3-4 hours. The large boat is equipped with indoor and outdoor seating, handicap accessible bathrooms, and snack bar with hot lunches. Guaranteed to see a whale or you receive a coupon for another trip. Ellie’s Place, Westport
Join the COA for lunch at Ellie’s Place in Westport on Thursday, August 28th. Ellie’s includes refreshing salads, hearty soups, wraps, clubs, sandwiches and lunchtime greats as chicken potpie or fish and chips. Appetizers include shrimp and little necks Mozambique, chicken wings and fried calamari. Prices range from $3-$15 for lobster ravioli. Van donation: $3.

Welcome Summer Picnic
Join the Mattapoisett Social and Wellness Center as we welcome the summer months with a unique luncheon. On Thursday, June 26th at noon we will be enjoying freshly prepared sandwiches, chips and hermits prepared by the Village Seaport outside on the Center School's beautiful shaded patio. Lunch is your choice of egg, tuna or chicken salad sandwiches, chips and hermit for $ 6. Beverages provided courtesy of the Council on Aging. must register early to pre-order lunch.
